Student Information

The digital game, mobile app, and creative media industries are predicted to be the fastest-growing agencies and studios over the next few years. The industries already generate more revenue than film box-office receipts and the music industry. Texas has the second largest concentration of these studios in the U.S., with Austin having more agencies and studios than the rest of the state combined! The GDAD Program at the University of Texas at Austin will challenge you to develop your design, development, asset creation, and leadership skills and will give you visibility with industry professionals in Austin.

The University of Texas at Austin’s GDAD Program is an interdisciplinary undergraduate certificate program between the Center for Arts and Entertainment Technologies (CAET), Computer Science Department, and Radio-Television-Film Department. Students majoring in these areas take pertinent courses within their respective program of study in preparation for the Capstone Course. Visit the Admissions page for more information on applying to the GDAD Program.
